Editorial Policy
Nihontsu is an editorial media service that delivers essential public information for foreign residents in Japan in clear multilingual form. We do more than republish public documents: we disclose how we select, rewrite, and review content.
Source selection
As a rule, we limit sources to primary information published by Japanese government agencies, municipalities, and independent administrative institutions. We do not use unverified rumors or purely secondary private sources.
Use of government materials
When using government or public materials, we cite the source URL and restructure content in line with each organization’s terms of use, prioritizing fidelity to the original intent.
AI use and human review
AI may be used for drafting and multilingualization. Before publication, editors review and approve content, and only approved articles go live. Some time-critical disaster notices use template rendering from official releases and are excluded from search indexing.
