Temporary Housing Repair Support in Ashikaga City for July 2026 Heavy Rain Damage

Tochigi Prefecture’s Ashikaga City has announced a support program for temporary repairs to homes damaged by the heavy rain disaster from July 17 to 18, 2026. Under the Disaster Relief Act, this program provides financial help to repair essential parts of homes so residents can continue living safely. The program targets households with large or partial damage to their houses who cannot afford repairs by themselves. Repairs cover necessary areas such as living rooms, kitchens, and toilets. The maximum subsidy is 757,000 yen per household, and 367,000 yen for minor damage. Applications start on August 31, 2026, and repairs should be finished by October 16, 2026.
