Disaster Relief Law has been applied due to the Kumamoto earthquake.
On July 28, 2026, an earthquake occurred in Kumamoto, putting many lives at risk. As a result, the Disaster Relief Law was applied to 10 cities, 10 towns, and 1 village. Foreign residents living in these areas might also be affected. The application of the law began on the day of the earthquake, July 28.
