On September 20, the third Sunday of September, the Tochigi Prefectural Museum holds 'Kenpaku Day' with free family-friendly activities. No prior registration is required.

The Tochigi Prefectural Museum organizes Kenpaku Day every third Sunday of the month, which coincides with Family Day. In 2026, the event takes place on Sunday, September 20, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors can enjoy various programs such as making clay tablets using non-fired clay, children’s tours about human and animal bodies, special talks by museum curators, and quiz challenges. Some displays require an entrance fee, while children up to junior high school age can enter for free. Participation does not need registration in advance.
