Tochigi Prefectural Museum Hosts Kenpaku Day on September 20

The Tochigi Prefectural Museum organizes Kenpaku Day every third Sunday of the month, which coincides with Family Day. In 2026, the event takes place on Sunday, September 20, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors can enjoy various programs such as making clay tablets using non-fired clay, children’s tours about human and animal bodies, special talks by museum curators, and quiz challenges. Some displays require an entrance fee, while children up to junior high school age can enter for free. Participation does not need registration in advance. Foreign residents in Japan are welcome to come with their family or friends and learn about Japanese culture and science.
