Osaka Prefecture Renovates Park Toilets Using Forest Environment Tax
The Osaka Prefectural Government used funds from the Forest Environment Tax to rebuild three old toilets located in natural parks. These are at Narukawa Park in Higashi-Osaka City, Iwawaki Forest’s Shikisai Hall in Kawachinagano City, and Inunaki Mountain in Izumisano City. The new toilets are designed to be safe, clean, and reflect local features. Anyone living in Osaka, including foreign residents, can use these toilets. They have been operating since September 2026. No special procedures are needed to use them. For more details and locations, please check the official Osaka Prefecture website.
