Hokkaido Offers Drone Use Seminar for Local Government Staff

Hokkaido will hold free practical seminars on drone use for local government employees to help solve regional issues. The seminars will take place in Sapporo, Kitami, and Fukagawa, and require prior registration.

The Hokkaido government is organizing drone use seminars for local government workers, including fire department staff, to support solutions to local problems. Topics include wildlife damage control and disaster response, with hands-on training and demonstrations. The seminars are free of charge.

While designed for local officials, foreign residents in Japan may find this useful to understand community safety and environmental efforts.

These seminars will run from August to October 2026 in three cities: Sapporo, Kitami, and Fukagawa. Applicants must register individually for each session before the application deadlines.
