Lecture on Mindset Management by First Female Antarctic Expedition Leader

Tochigi Prefecture will hold a lecture on mindset management on October 31, 2026. The lecture is by Naomi Harada, the first female leader of the Antarctic expedition team, focusing on how to bring out one’s strengths in diverse environments. It is open to everyone.

Tochigi Prefecture invites Professor Naomi Harada, the first female leader of the Antarctic regional observation team, to give a lecture titled “Mindset Management to Bring Out Your Strengths.” The lecture shares her experience working with a diverse team under extreme conditions and explains the importance of changing fixed gender roles and unconscious bias. The event is on October 31, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, at the Partiy Tochigi Gender Equality Center in Utsunomiya City. Anyone may apply, with up to 250 participants accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free. Applications are accepted online only from August 1 to October 23, 2026. Phone registration is not available. Childcare services are offered for children aged 6 months to grade 3 at a fee of 300 yen per child. Please check the official website for more details.
