Japan's pension system has two types: the National Pension and the Employees' Pension. Each has its own features and enrollment procedures. You can handle pension-related procedures at the Japan Pension Service office or online.
Japan's pension system consists of two types: the National Pension (Kokumin Nenkin) and the Employees' Pension (Kosei Nenkin). The National Pension is a system that all residents must enroll in, and participants pay a fixed monthly premium. The Employees' Pension, on the other hand, is a system for company employees and public servants, where premiums are calculated based on the amount of their salary. Procedures related to the pension system can mainly be carried out at the counter of the Japan Pension Service (Nihon Nenkin Kiko) or online.
