Support and Consultation for Small Businesses Affected by the September 8, 2026 Heavy Rain in Aichi Prefecture

Aichi Prefecture has announced financial support for small and micro businesses damaged by the heavy rain on September 8, 2026. Businesses with official disaster certificates can apply for disaster response loans to help restart their operations. The maximum loan amount is 80 million yen for short-term loans and 280 million yen for long-term loans. Interest rates will be updated for applications submitted from October 1 onward. Applications need to be made within six months from the disaster date.

About 100 consultation centers called "Aichi Prefecture Small and Micro Business Comprehensive Consultation Windows" have been set up across the prefecture. These centers offer advice on financing and business management. Most offices are open weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but hours may vary.

In Nagoya City, where the Disaster Relief Act applies, a special safety-net guarantee (No. 4) is planned for affected businesses with lower sales, pending national government approval.
