Support for Traffic Safety and Driving Retirement in Yamaguchi

Yamaguchi Prefecture has announced support for people who have retired from driving. This is relevant for those who no longer drive and provides a support handbook and a driving history certificate. Foreign residents in Japan are also eligible to benefit from this system. It's recommended to check the detailed procedures with the driving license office or the local police stations. This new system has been in effect since August 12, 2026.
