If you are studying in Japan as an international student and wish to work in addition to your studies, you need Permission to Engage in Activity Outside of Status. This permission sets a condition that allows you to work up to 28 hours per week, and during long school vacations, you may work up to 8 hours per day. There are two types of Permission to Engage in Activity Outside of Status: comprehensive permission and individual permission.
