Advance Payment of Local Allocation Tax Due to Typhoon No. 25 in 2026

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has decided to advance part of the ordinary local allocation tax payment, originally scheduled for November 2026, to local governments affected by Typhoon No. 25. This measure is based on the Local Allocation Tax Law and aims to help recovery and maintain public services in disaster-hit areas. This may affect the communities including foreign residents living in those areas. The advance payments started from October 6, 2026. Procedures are handled by local governments.
