Be Aware of Business Email Scams
January 7, 2026
Ehime Prefecture warns against suspicious emails in business communications.
Ehime Prefecture has issued a warning about Business Email Compromise (BEC). There have been reports of suspicious emails impersonating the governor's name. These emails often pretend to be from company executives or managers, instructing recipients to make financial transfers. There are also scams requesting QR codes to create new LINE groups. Such scams are increasing nationwide, posing risks of financial losses and information leaks. If you receive suspicious emails, do not open or respond, and delete them immediately.
