Aizu Region Launches Instagram Support Project to Promote Migration

August 27, 2026
Fukushima Prefecture’s Aizu branch announced a tender for a project to support Instagram operations aimed at encouraging people to move to the Aizu area. This effort helps foreigners living in Japan learn more about the region. The proposal review was held in August 2026.

The Aizu Regional Promotion Bureau in Fukushima Prefecture is starting a project to actively manage an existing Instagram account to share local information and promote migration and settlement in the Aizu area. To carry out this, they held an open call for proposals to select a company for the work.

This project is important for foreign residents in Japan who are interested in moving to Aizu, as it will provide clearer and more accessible information through Instagram.

Key dates included a deadline for questions on August 3, 2026, submission of participation declarations by August 7, and proposals by August 20. The proposal review meeting took place on August 26.
