On September 11, 2026, Miyazaki Prefecture corrected the date used in their report about people aged 100 or older. The previously stated date “October 1, 2024 (Reiwa 6)” was corrected to “October 1, 2025 (Fiscal Year Reiwa 7).” No other content was changed.

This information relates to centenarians living in Miyazaki Prefecture and their families, including foreign residents. Those who will turn 100 years old or older may receive congratulatory letters from the governor.

For the fiscal year from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, the number of people reaching 100 years old is 635 (97 men and 538 women), which is 28 fewer than last year. As of September 1, 2026, the total number of centenarians is 1,322 (149 men and 1,173 women), an increase of 97 from the previous year.
