About Applying for Permission to Engage in Activities Outside of Your Visa Status

Permission to engage in activities outside of your visa status is required when a foreign national wants to earn income through activities that are not covered by their current residence status, such as a student visa or work visa. The following conditions must be met to obtain this permission.

1. The activities must not negatively affect your current residence status. 2. You must continue to carry out the activities permitted under your current residence status. 3. The activities you are applying for must comply with the law. 4. You must not be involved in criminal activities or adult entertainment businesses. 5. You must not have received a detention order or a notice of hearing. 6. You must not have a record of poor conduct. 7. If you wish to work for an organization other than a public institution, you must have the consent of that organization.
