This article explains the procedures and required documents for applying for permission to engage in activities outside your visa status. The application must be submitted to the Regional Immigration Services Bureau covering your area of residence. There is no fee required for this application.

To apply for permission to engage in activities outside your visa status, certain documents are required. The main documents that must be submitted by the applicant in person or by their legal representative are as follows.

- Application form for permission to engage in activities outside your visa status (download required) - Documents showing the details of the activities related to the application - Presentation of your Residence Card (a copy is also required if applying through a representative)

The application must be submitted to the Regional Immigration Services Bureau that has jurisdiction over your place of residence. There is no application fee.
