Resident Evacuation Drills for Ballistic Missile Threats

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, in cooperation with Fukushima Prefecture and Aizubange Town, will carry out evacuation drills simulating the threat of ballistic missiles. These drills aim to strengthen residents’ ability to evacuate safely in case of emergency. Foreign residents living in Japan are also included and should learn evacuation procedures. The drills are planned to happen within 2026. In addition, there will be 19 disaster drills throughout the year. No special procedures are needed to participate, but please follow all safety instructions and official announcements from the ministry and local governments for updates.
