My Number Card to Serve as Health Insurance Card

Attention to foreign residents in Japan: A new system is launching where the My Number Card will replace the traditional health insurance card. As a result, the traditional card will no longer be issued. To receive medical services, My Number Card registration is required. Check for official information about the start date.
