Understanding and Using Paid Leave

**What is Paid Leave?**

In Japan, workers are guaranteed a certain number of paid leave days per year. A key feature of this leave is that you can take it without needing your employer's permission.

**Eligibility Conditions**

Generally, you must have worked at the same workplace for at least 6 months and have an attendance rate of 80% or higher. Once these conditions are met, annual paid leave will be granted to you.
