September 23, 2026
Osaka Prefecture will hold a hiking and tree planting event on November 1, 2026. Foreign residents in Japan are welcome to join. Please check the official information for participation details and registration.

Osaka Prefecture is hosting a hiking and tree planting event on the Tokai Nature Trail on November 1, 2026. This event is organized to share the recovery progress since the storm damage caused by Typhoon No. 21 in 2018. It is co-hosted with SoftBank Corporation, and tree planting involves broadleaf saplings. Foreign residents living in Japan can participate. The hiking route is about 3 kilometers and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Tree planting participation requires advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis, and spots are limited. Hiking alone does not require prior reservation. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Kamimine Temple Rest Area in Takatsuki City. Please visit Osaka Prefecture’s official website for details and registration.
