2026 Nationwide ‘Children’s Human Rights Consultation’ Strengthening Week
From August 28 (Friday) to September 3 (Thursday) in 2026, Japan’s Ministry of Justice will conduct a nationwide 'Children’s Human Rights Consultation' Strengthening Week. The purpose is to enhance consultation services about children's rights. Consultations can be made at 50 Legal Affairs Bureaus and District Legal Affairs Bureaus across Japan. In addition to in-person services, there are special phone lines called 'Children’s Human Rights 110' and chat consultations through the Ministry's LINE account. Children of foreign nationals living in Japan can also use these services if they face any problems concerning their rights. The consultations are available during the event week, and official details and updates should be confirmed on the Ministry of Justice's website.
