Oita Prefecture Passport Online Application

For foreigners residing in Japan, Oita Prefecture now allows you to apply for your passport online using your My Number Card. This online application process requires you to visit the office only once for collection, unlike the paper-based application. According to the announcement on August 18, 2026, the online system will be down from September 4 to 6 and from September 19 to 20, so please take note. You can check your application status on My Portal, so make sure to confirm it.
