2026 Children’s Human Rights SOS Mini Letter Project Starts
From May 22 to July 3, 2026, the Ministry of Justice will distribute special prepaid letter paper and envelopes to elementary and junior high schools across Japan. This lets children send letters about bullying and other human rights concerns.
Each letter sent will be carefully answered by staff at the Legal Affairs Bureau or human rights volunteers. This service is open to all children, including those from foreign families living in Japan. If language support is needed, ask your school or local offices.
The service is available anytime during the project period, and no special procedures are required. Privacy is protected.
For full details and official instructions, please check the Ministry of Justice website.
